City Breaks to Luxembourg

Luxembourg is not on many European city break bucket lists but with a short flight time from London and regular flights throughout the week, it is an ideal destination for a 1 night weekend break.

London City airport boasts the majority of flights to Luxembourg with Luxair. The early flights depart just after 7:30am which easily gets you into Luxembourg Findel Airport before 11am. Return flights depart just before 7:30pm with some later flights at 9:30 on some days. Luxair has a Light fare which includes hand luggage only which provides the cheapest option. Please note that London City does have flight restrictions on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning so the above flights do not operate on these days. This should not impact a weekend stay departing on Saturday morning.

British Airways offers direct flights to Luxembourg from London Heathrow. As there is one flight a day the connection back is not as attractive but do consider mix and matching departure and return airports if you can be flexible with London airports.

Flying Indirect for your Luxembourg Break

If you are flying from a regional airport the options are still plentiful but connections will be indirect. This increases the duration of the flights slightly but with early departures it is possible to enjoy a weekend break in Luxembourg from Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham, Norwich, Humberside, Teeside, Newcastle, Leeds and Edinburgh.

Airport Transfers in Luxembourg

The airport is near to the city centre and there is a regular public bus service into the centre. There are hotels close to the airport but with a 20 minute ride into the city do consider accommodation in the centre.
