Gatwick airport has a more flexible timetable than it’s larger counterpart London Heathrow. There are fewer “business” routes which deliver regular daily flights but this more than made up with a greater share of leisure destinations. In the summer you can find connections to almost every European beach spot and with destinations like Alicante, Majorca and Croatia you can find a Nano beach break relatively easily.

LGW also boasts year round, early morning flights to over 15 destinations. These are listed below and are mostly flown by Easyjet. London Gatwick is the carrier’s largest hub. It is also the second largest hub British Airways so do check flight connections with both airlines and don’t be afraid to mix and match to get the most time in your chosen destination.

How to Get to Gatwick Early in the Morning

London Gatwick has excellent rail links being on one of the main Thameslink lines through London. Connect from cities like Peterborough, Cambridge and Brighton during the night and early in the morning There is also the Gatwick Express and connections across the Southern network. London Gatwick has recently updated its station separating passengers who are arriving and those who are departing. This innovation allows you to quickly get to terminal.
If travelling by car, watch out for charges for being dropped off. Alternatively, there a number of hotels within close distance where you can walk to the terminal or take a shuttle bus.
