One Night Trip to Paris

Paris is one of the most straightforward destinations within continental Europe for a one night trip and can provide an ideal nano break experience. If travelling from London, the best and most environmentally friendly option to maximise your time in the French capital is to travel by train. Travel to the heart of the city and you will be close to historic sights like the Montmarte. Go further afield with easy connections on the Paris Metro.

Rail travel is not the only option. For those working on an extreme low cost budget then the bus from central London is your option. Flights depart from all the main UK airports. Charles de Gaulle airport is the main airport with a few options available from Paris Orly.

Year round Nano trips can be found with little problem although watch out for prices hiking around Valentine’s Day as romantics flock to the city “pour l’amour.”

One Night Trip to Paris from London

The earliest train departs central London at 6:01 on weekdays and 6:31 on Saturdays. A later service at 8:01 leaves St Pancras seven days a week and arrives at 11:30. Given you are arriving in the centre of the city this might be the more palatable option. Your last train home departs Gare du Nord at 21:12 with the exception of Saturdays which gives you up to twenty hours to discover the beauty of Paris.

Gates close 30 minutes before departure at both St Pancras and Gare Du Nord. St Pancras has good train connections on Thameslink so if you live outside of London you can still benefit from these early departures from places like Peterborough, Cambridge, Bedford, St Albans, Brighton, Horsham and Sutton.
